Course length

Approximately 12 weeks. A flexible, hybrid structure combining self-paced online learning, in-person practical training and logged practice hours. Designed to fit around your schedule while building real-world teaching experience.

By the end of the course…

You’ll be able to safely set up and confidently use a Reformer, including spring selection, resistance logic and prop use. You’ll plan and deliver structured beginner and mixed-ability classes, with clear progressions and appropriate modifications. You’ll develop strong observation and class management skills, allowing you to confidently support clients within a group setting. Having trained on the FÔLD Reformer, you’ll understand how it is designed to be accessible for all body types, while developing transferable teaching skills that apply across a wide range of Reformer models and studio environments.

Accreditation

This course is a Level 3 Certificate in Instructing Studio Reformer Pilates, aligned with industry standards and regulated by Ofqual through YMCA Awards.Delivered in partnership with FÔLD Academy and Create PT, it is a high-quality, industry-recognised qualification designed to reflect the demands of modern studio environments.On completion, you’ll be qualified to teach in studios, gyms and boutique fitness settings across the UK and beyond.

Location

Most of your learning takes place online, with modules completed in your own time.

Your practical training is delivered through in-person workshops at FÔLD partner studios and training venues across the UK.

Entry Requirements

To enrol on this course, you must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Pilates Matwork (or an equivalent Level 3 Mat Pilates qualification).

This ensures you have the foundational knowledge, understanding of anatomy and teaching experience required to progress safely onto Reformer training.

If you do not yet hold a Level 3 Mat Pilates qualification, you can enrol on our combined Mat and Reformer pathway to become fully qualified across both disciplines (saving £500).


You’ll also need regular access to a Reformer to support your personal practice and logged hours, either through a studio, workplace or your own equipment.
