Why FOLD

All the weight of a studio Reformer. None of the heavy lifting.

The Original FÔLD Reformer is the world’s first spring-assisted folding Reformer, built from solid maple or oak. Award-winning (x4) and loved in thousands of UK homes.

At a glance

  • Easi-FOLD™: our patent-pending, spring-assisted folding system. Two springs take the load, so almost anyone can fold the 75kg frame in one smooth movement.
  • Solid hardwood frame: Hard Maple or Red Oak, not aluminium or rubberwood. Planted, quiet and steady under every movement.
  • Stores upright: folds to 65 x 80 x 126.5cm and wheels away on built-in wheels.
  • Ready to train: free two-person delivery to the room of your choice, a Reformer Starter Kit and 3 months’ FÔLD app membership.

Why the weight matters

Weight is what makes a Reformer feel like a studio Reformer: planted, stable and steady under every movement. Ours comes from solid Hard Maple or Red Oak rather than aluminium or rubberwood. Maple scores 1,450 lbf and oak 1,290 lbf on the Janka hardness scale, against around 960 lbf for rubberwood, so the frame stays grounded, quiet and true, session after session. Why we use real American hardwoods.

How Easi-FOLD™ works

That same weight is what makes most folding Reformers hard to fold. Easi-FOLD™ uses two springs to take the load, so you fold and unfold the full 75kg frame in one smooth, controlled movement. No motors. No gas struts. No batteries. Just two springs and some very smart engineering.

Specifications

  • Open: L248 x W80 x H29cm (minimum room size 315 x 220cm)
  • Folded (upright): L65 x W80 x H126.5cm
  • Weight: 75kg, for users up to 130kg
  • Frame: solid Hard Maple or Red Oak
  • Upholstery: vegan-friendly PU. Hard Maple in Vanilla, Black or Mocha; Red Oak in Vanilla, Black or Chocolate
  • Springs: 5 stainless steel resistance springs (2 heavy, 2 medium, 1 light)
  • Features: 4-level footbar, adjustable headrest, padded double-loop straps, long rope with moveable reel
  • Warranty: frame 3 years, springs 2 years, upholstery 1 year

FOLD FAQ's

  • Easi-FOLD™ is our patent-pending, spring-assisted folding system. Two springs take the load, so you can fold and unfold the full 75kg Reformer in one smooth, controlled movement. No motors, no gas struts and no batteries.

Once folded, the Reformer stands securely upright at 65 x 80 x 126.5cm and wheels away on built-in wheels.

  • The Original FÔLD Reformer weighs 75kg and supports users up to 130kg. That weight comes from its solid Hard Maple or Red Oak frame, and it is what makes the Reformer feel planted, stable and quiet under every movement. Easi-FOLD™ takes the load when you fold it, so you never have to lift that weight yourself.

  • Yes. Easi-FOLD™ uses two springs to take the load, so almost anyone can fold and unfold the Reformer on their own in one smooth movement, then wheel it away upright. Come and try it for yourself at House of FÔLD, our London showroom.

  • Not all folding Reformers are the same. Most come with a trade-off: light enough to fold easily but less stable, or heavy enough to feel steady but hard to fold. The Original FÔLD Reformer removes that trade-off, with a solid hardwood frame for stability and Easi-FOLD™ to take the weight when you fold it. It is designed in the UK, and the design and patent-pending system are owned by the FÔLD team.

When researching your next Reformer, we’d recommend considering:

    • Can you see and try the Reformer in person? A Reformer is a big investment, and you’ll notice the difference when you try it.
    • What is the frame made from: aluminium, rubberwood or solid hardwood?
    • How does it fold, and how much of the weight do you have to lift?
    • Does the brand own the design or patent? Many lower-cost models are mass-produced, white-labelled products.
    • What warranty is offered?
    • Do the reviews look genuine? No business is perfect, so if you only see flawless 5-star reviews, it’s worth digging deeper.
    • If something goes wrong, do they hold spare parts so they can get you back up and running quickly?

  • Yes. Every Original FÔLD Reformer frame is solid Hard Maple or Red Oak, American hardwoods sourced from US forests, rather than aluminium or rubberwood. Hard Maple scores 1,450 lbf and Red Oak 1,290 lbf on the Janka hardness scale, against around 960 lbf for rubberwood, so the frame is harder-wearing, denser and steadier under load.

Reviews

Absolute dream to assemble and use!

"Wonderful bit of kit, super easy and quick to set up initially and dead easy to use. Managed to set it up on my own and with the instruction video it was just a breeze to do. Faith from customer service was just amazing! Really enjoying the app classes too but wish they included some music and maybe didn’t talk the full time :-) Would love to see more variety come on!"

— Emma I. (5/5)

Really impressed

"My reformer arrived a couple of weeks ago and I’m really pleased with it. Easy to set up and great quality. It comes with everything you need. My only slight improvement would be with the online classes. Having previously done classes in a studio, I miss the classes which were timed to music. I do see however that they add new classes regularly so this may come."

— Charlotte (5/5)

Love my new reformer!

"Bought to replace my old reformer as I wanted one that was more easy to fold away, but not folded it away yet as so busy using it! So smooth and substantial feel to it. A great purchase"

— Alison A. (5/5)

Great

"I've had my reformer for a week. Delivery was efficient and reformer placed in my elected room. It was very well packaged and took longer to unwrap than put together. Assembly instruction and video were easy to follow. Have used it most days sometimes following lessons on the app and other times doing my own thing. Very pleased with my purchase."

— Carole (5/5)

My new reformer

"Having done reformer Pilates for over nine years, I ordered myself a FOLD reformer after having a big orthopaedic operation on my foot and ankle, to help me in my recovery. I have previously used reformer Pilates post op to regin strength and flexibility. I was very excited for the delivery and was not disappointed. The machine is beautiful and very well made, using high quality materials and a lot of attention to detail. As the reformer moves it is very smooth and quiet. I’ve found the FOLD app to be extremely useful. There were a few problems with the delivery company, however once I contacted FOLD , my issues were dealth with quickly, thoughtfully and effectively."

— Jo (5/5)

Let the journey Un -FOLD

"So excited to have my reformer in our home. I have attended reformer classes for years off and on. Costs are a barrier as it is getting more and more expensive to attend classes. Looking at the costs of buying against going to classes it made sense to buy. The FOLD reformer is as good if not better than some in studios I have been to.. the monthly ly cost of buying is cheaper than my monthly classes and the online classes are great - very happy thank you"

— Jane (5/5)

I am so glad I went for Fold for my home reformer

"It's such high quality, not like a lot of the slightly cheaper reformers. So worth spending the little bit extra, it's built to last, I use mine at least 4 times a week - sometimes more with private clients and they love it too. Customer service is great and the freebies like the access to classes + props are amazing."

— Mikala. T. (5/5)

Great piece of kit

"Very happy. Ordered on the 18th August arrived yesterday the 11th September with constant updates on delivery. I had some reservations about ordering this as it’s a huge treat, in every sense. Did my first workout this morning. Good quality and very sturdy. Effortless assemble. Easy to fold away and looks good too. I love it."

— Camille (5/5)

From Compact to fully loaded in seconds

"I love my Fold Reformer. It is high quality design, smooth flowing and easy to use. From set up to set down every detail has been consider. The compact folded machine is simple to move around and with the easi-Fold system couldn’t be easier to pack up and set up. The carriage is super smooth, the ropes a delight and the springs fantastic. I will definitely be recommending Fold to anyone I talk to and when I come to owning my own studio space Fold will be my first call for my equipmnent"

— Jennifer W. (5/5)

Extremely happy with my purchase

"Great communication from the team. On time and professional delivery. Easy to set up. Beautiful bit of equipment. Very quiet and smooth. All my research suggested this would be the case and it turned out that way. Looking forward to many years of Reformer. Thank you."
