How to join a
FÔLD Reformer Pilates class
Joining a FÔLD Reformer Pilates class is easy. Find your nearest studio on our map, then get in touch with your chosen studio. You can also check out their website to see if they offer trial classes.
What to expect in class
All FÔLD studios use the FÔLD Original Reformer – and some even use our latest Easi-FOLD™ design. Apart from that, your Pilates class experience will vary from studio to studio, so it’s important to find the right fit for you.
You’ll want to think about what size of class works for you, whether you need a beginners class, if you’re looking for something more athletic and contemporary or something more classical.
The best way to do that is chat with your studio or browse their website to find their style.
Benefits of joining if you have a FÔLD bed
If you already have a FÔLD reformer at home, joining a class at a FÔLD studio will help you to strengthen your at home practice. You’ll learn new moves to take your fitness up a notch as well as maybe already having a head-start on how to use the kit in class.
Who is Reformer Pilates for?
As a low-impact exercise, Reformer Pilates is great for people who want to be gentle on their joints while building deep and targeted strength as they become more flexible and balanced throughout the body. It’s for everybody and all ages, and you don’t need to be flexible to start. (Though if you’ve never tried Reformer Pilates before, you may want to try a beginners class to start.)
What qualifications do the instructors have?
Studio instructors who qualify on a FÔLD course are endorsed by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA). Other reputable Reformer Pilates qualifications come from awarding bodies including Balanced Body, Alan Herdman, Polestar, Body Control Pilates, BASI and STOTT.
